McKenzie’s platform, Plan Your Day with McKenzie J, began when she created her own planner to help manage her ADHD and stay organized. What started as a personal tool has grown into a service project that provides planners to children in need, especially those with ADHD, helping them stay focused and confident in their daily lives. Each year, she hosts a tea party fundraiser to support her project and reach even more children.

A dedicated volunteer, McKenzie loves spending time with residents at nursing homes, delivering Christmas gifts and Valentine’s cards to brighten their days. She is also passionate about fighting food insecurity in rural communities by helping grow, package, and distribute fresh vegetables from her family’s farm. In addition, she volunteers with the North Carolina Diaper Bank, packaging and donating diapers for families in need. Caring, hardworking, and community-minded, McKenzie is proud to use her voice and title to make a meaningful difference.
